I worked as a Freelance Digital Editor for MS Society for 2.5 years. I supported them with content design, content editing, SEO, copywriting and website optimisation.
Projects
Web content and SEO
I edited content before it was added to the website, ensuring it fit the organisational style guide and met W3 WAI accessibility guidelines.
I also optimised pages for SEO while liaising with information experts to maintain clinical accuracy.
Community stories
I worked with members of the MS community to help them shape and share their stories on the community blog.
This involved dealing with complex and emotive topics with sensitivity, editing posts to fit the style guide while maintaining the author’s voice.
Campaigns and fundraising copy
I edited and wrote copy for various campaigns and fundraising initiatives. Most notably, for the General Election 2024 campaign, which sought to get greater support for the MS community on the agendas for the main political parties.
Website personalisation
I was the content lead for the website personalisation project. I curated and created personalised content for 6 audience segments, so that people with different types of MS or relationships with MS could see the most relevant content to them when visiting the website.
